SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must fulfil the required educational qualification and age criteria for the post they are applying for.
SSC CPO 2026 Educational Qualification
For Delhi Police SI and CAPF SI (GD), candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent qualification.
For SI Fire in CISF, candidates must have a relevant Science/Engineering qualification as prescribed in the official notification.
Candidates appearing in their final year can also apply, provided they obtain the required qualification by the prescribed closing date.
SSC CPO Age Limit 2026
For most SSC CPO posts, the age limit is 20 to 25 years as on 1 August 2026.
For CISF SI Fire, the prescribed age limit is 18 to 30 years.

The selection process will be completed through the following stages:
Paper-I → PST/PET → Paper-II → Detailed Medical Examination → Document Verification → Final Selection
PST/PET is qualifying in nature. Final selection is primarily based on performance in Paper-II, along with applicable NCC bonus marks and candidates’ post/force preferences.
SSC CPO Salary 2026
Selected candidates will receive Pay Level-6 salary of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
The post carries additional allowances and benefits as applicable under government rules.
